I can’t make calls or use mobile data

I've recently received my new iphone17 pro max and transferred the info off my old phone. I can do everything with the new phone, so I turned the old phone back to factory settings. After doing this I realised I couldn't make calls, mobile data wasn't coming up and I couldn't connect my bank card to Apple wallet.  I've tried everything and can't ring out. This morning I've woken up and someone in Frankfurt has tried to get onto my phone.

So this your new iPhone 17 you are having issues with,  if so give this a try:

On an iPhone with Dual SIM, the primary SIM is the default line you have chosen for calls, messages, and cellular data. You can change this default line by going to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data) > Default Voice Line or Cellular Data and selecting the other SIM card, which could be a physical SIM or an eSIM.
