How late can I order a phone as a Christmas present?

I want to surprise my wife with a new phone for Christmas but as it will be a swap I will need to return her present phone. How late can I order a swap for Christmas delivery and still be able to return her existing phone within the 14 days?

@Olympus  You get a 30 day cool off period, as customers we can't tell you when to order as your order will be dependent on stock levels and the item being in stock.
