The charges would be:
£0.36 per MB of data used.
£0.72 per minute Calls to local or UK mobile and landline numbers
£0.14 per minute to receive calls
£0.14 per text message to UK numbers and mobiles
£0.58 per picture message(MMS)
So either use Wifi only or get and use a local sim. To avoid such charges make sure mobile data and roaming is turned off before you leave the UK.
