Google Pixel 9a Launch Offer

I was delighted, as a Sky VIP of 23 years standing, to be told that I could get the new Google Pixel 9a Launch Offer of an additional £150 credit when I did a swap for my iPhone 15 Pro. This is what I was told via a chat expert before I placed my order:

iPhone 15 Pro estimated value £366.00

Remaining balance to clear £499.95

Cost of swap £133.95 to pay

Launch credit applied £150.00

Leaving me with a credit (plus) balance of £16.05.

Happy days except, it never actually happened!

Has anyone every managed to get a promotion deal? I have raised a formal complaint and am awaiting resolution but, to be frank, I'm not holding my breath after endless phone calls and chats that go nowhere. I just want to know if it's just a blip in the system with me or a marketing scam designed to get people to sign up and then not pass on the advertised promotion?

Re: Google Pixel 9a Launch Offer

I am delighted to report that finally, after multiple duplicate calls, chats and email exchanges, I have been credited with the £150 launch offer. I have also received an official apology for the whole sorry saga. I have withdrawn my complaint to extenal bodies as I now consider the issue resolved and closed. None of this experience has been pleasant for anyone and I have advised the Customer Services Senior Management team that they use my records as a training example of how things can go so wrong so quickly without clear communication between departments.

Re: Google Pixel 9a Launch Offer

Hi sorry for jumping on your post can I ask how you got it resolved eventually ? Like who is the beat person to contact as I have been having the same problem and just keep getting told to contact Google for the cashback? No one seems to understand that it wasn't through Google and I feel like I'm constantly hitting my head against a brick wall trying to explain to sky that it was through them and it would come up as a bill credit.
