I preordered the iphone 16 on Friday but opted to not swap my current phone as a family member was interested but now they have secured themselves a shiney new phone and left me in the lurch. Therefore I'm now looking to do the swap, which I was assured I could to at any time and even going through the FAQ section it keeps sending me to the devices page where no such option is offered without me seemingly having to purchase another phone.
I'm assuming I missing something or I have to wait until the new phone is dispatched? Can anyone help?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @ChilliCooper the swap needs to be done at the time of ordering your new phone. As mentioned you will need to call sky to see if this can still be done with your current order but you may have to cancel that order and start again.

I must say that's a little frustrating considering that when I opted not to proceed with the swap at the time the text said the following: -
Lesson for next time is to request the swap and then decide later I guess.

I don't read it as you can convert a purchase to a swap. (Which is why we are saying you have to ring Sky to see what options you have)
As noted, I suspect it's a cancellation and then a swap.
