False claim the I called someone

This morning I received a call and when I answered the person said I was on her phone as a missed call so she was calling me back. I asked when the missed call was and she said this morning so i told her was not me as i had just turned to phone on. A bit later I went through my calls list back to August and found no record of her number so she never had a call from my phone. I texted her to explain that and she repiled instantly suggecting my phone number had been copied.

Has anyone seen anything like this. Don't know whether my number has been cloned or her call was some scam.

The chances are that this person did receive a call from a scammer who has spoofed the number they were using to make it looked like it came from your number, this does happen as they hide the actual number they were using.
