Esim

Trying to transfer my sons sim to an eSIM for his new device as he has no data when we are away from home. I want to continue the sim that was on the previous device I've done what it stayed however it did not send a code to my sons tablet I've been trying for a week I'm not calling yourselves as I can not understand what I'm being told to do when I call you. Please can someone advise me on what to do
