Erroneous voicemail alert

I tried to see if this error has been covered, I could not find any, but apologies if my search wasnt good. I am with Sky Mobile. Suddenly my Samsung phone keeps receiving a voicemail alert saying "1 New Voicemail". But there are no voicemail messages. I have tried everything, reset, clearing the cache, restarting the phone etc. The message comes up all the time. Hope somebody can help. Thank you.

@nevmon

Have you tried calling your Samsung phone from a different device and leaving yourself a voicemail then using your Samsung listening to it then deleting it to see if it clears this message ?

@caesarome thank you and yes I did. Same issue persists.

Re: Erroneous voicemail alert

I recently found this discussion because I was having the same issue. In case you haven't managed to resolve it, here is what finally worked for me.

On the Voicemail settings, I selected Personal Options, then selected turn on the Message Waiting Indicator and then straightaway selected to turn it off and the erroneous voicemail alert disappeared!
