Ending a mobile/data contract & starting new one

I'm looking to end my current phone/data plan so I can upgrade to the iPhone 17 and take advantage of the deal on the 60GB data plan.

I have a few months left to pay on my phone & could do so in one payment to get it paid off. I was then going to order the iPhone 17 with the 60GB plan as a new plan, not as a swap/upgrade with my current one.

Will I be able to easily switch my number from my current plan to the new one when the iPhone 17 arrives? Would there be any other issues with switching over between the two plans?

@maaaatthew  You can't transfer numbers between the same network

so you would have to transfer out the number you want to keep to another payg network then back to the correct sky sim
