Egypt roaming charge

I turned off my

mobile data the whole time I was on holiday in Egypt it was not used as soon as I landed however I've been charged £40.

I did not use my data. I would like this resolved and refunded.

@Brook2

You are talking to other customers here only.

When did you turn mobile data and roaming off so did you do this before you left the UK ?

Did you make or receive any phone calls and send any text messages ?

Turning off data roaming is not enough in rest of world locations.

Your device connected to a cellular service and you can be charged for that.

You'll have to call Sky to query it though.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

And before you landed?

Signal from masts travels particularly well in clear air, which does include upwards.
