Easiest way to buy a Sky Sim card?

Hello, coming to UK for a year's work in a week or so. Should I order a Sim card to ship, or just grab one at a store in UK?

Hi @LaverniusCole  I believe sky will only ship to a UK address. I also don't think you can get a sky mobile sim from a shop, online only.

If accepted @LaverniusCole  they normally come within 2 days.

I can't believe how impossible this is. Trying to buy the Sim card, but can't check out, because it won't accept my American phone #. (###)###-####.  How can I type it out so it's accepted? 

I simply want to have my Apple iPhone, with my American #, work in the UK with a temporary (year long) Sim. How do I get this up and running by Aug 30th or so??

Hi @LaverniusCole  apparently you need a Uk number when ordering, if you haven't got one you may just have to get a UK pay as you go sim from another network to get you going (sky don't do PAYG).

If your American phone isn't unlocked then a Sky sim will not work in it.

I know that. Is that why it isn't accepting it? I am in the process of unlocking it...

All you can do is to call Sky and see if they can place the order using the card.
