ESIMS

Hi, we are going to Greece (and Greek islands) in September for 30 days and wondered if it would be cheaper to add an additional esim to my current plan rather than paying roaming charges.

Hi @Lambo67  its £2 per 24 hours use of your home sky allowance. If you can find a cheaper option then it's up to you if you want to add the extra sim.

Be aware that if you average a gigabyte of data a day then you're going to hit the Sky roaming usage cap a week before the end of the stay.

Re: ESIMS

Thank you for that. Should have said our general usage is between 1-3GB per month so not massive users.

An eSIM, in itself, does not make any difference to the tariff.

However, you may be able to install one from a different provider that has more favourable terms abroad.  (But £2/day isn't outrageous and you can use your own phone number)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
