E sim on new device installation

I have just received my new phone and I have tried everything possible to work out how to install my e sim. I got an email saying I need a qr code but doesn't tell me how to get one. Going round and round in circles and can't seem to get anywhere. I just want to transfer my data plan onto my new iPhone
