Posted by a Sky employeeMorning @ABAB8,
Sky doesn't do Pay as You Go SIMs so you must be paying monthly for data. You can't port a Mobile number from the same provider to a new SIM but you'll be able to Mix your plan to a Data plan that fits you.
I believe the double data is for new handsets however there is an offer at the moment for double data on the 25GB plan, £15 for 50GB. Why not make use of this offer, you can Mix your plan again whenever you want so if this is too much why not bring your plan back down to a lower data allowance next month, any data not used will go into your Sky Piggybank.
Thanks,

Hi Chloe, yes as per my post I am on monthly data plan which I had as part of my now out of contract iphone. I didn't mention PAYG, that was another members suggestion for moving away my number to bring it back.
I am already on the 25GB for £15 a month contract so if that deal is now available I would have needed to move my data deal and then re select this one at another point.
However someone from Sky customer service called me on Saturday who placed my order for the iPhone Pro and applied the double data to my contract.
The issue here is that Sky is offering double data for pre ordering, this should apply to all customers and they should not be forcing them to take a new phone number as part of that. The wording of the offer does not make it clear that it is for new customers only, neither does it make it clear that a new number will be needed to take advantage of the offer online.
Personally I would have rather have done this instore as there is a Sky shop 0.4 miles from my house but they can't confirm at what point they'll be able to sell the phone due to current events.

@Chloe-W22 I purchased a new iPhone that had the deal against it, it arrived yesterday so wondered when this would be applied to my account
I didn't order a new sim, as it didn't state that you needed to do this in the ts&cs.

I ordered the handset and the offer was shown as below. No mention of needing a new sim/data plan

@Chloe-W22 I received my phone and SIM today and after activating I still see the 3GB and not 6GB.
What do I need to do to get this resolved please?
