Do sky do a dongle

Just looking for some mobile data to use when we go away do sky offer a mobile data dongle ?

We do not offer this option yet unfortunately. 

But if you have got a sky mobile with some data stored in your piggybank, you could always tether devices to your mobile and use it as a hotspot and roll data from the piggybank.

@Mazzaw  If the dongle is unlocked then there is no reason why it wont.

Hi @Mazzaw  in addition to what @GD1  has said sometimes you have to manually input the APN settings, they don't always automatically install.

Hi, if I use my phone as a hotspot outside the UK can I still use my data or are there extra charges? 
Also, can I connect to my Sky Q whilst outside the UK?

Hi @Ken  if you are in the EU roaming area you should be able to use your phone as a hotspot and not incur data charges. You can no longer watch sky (you used to be able to use Sky Go) outside of the UK since Brexit.

Thanks I’ll give it a try. Shame about the Sky Go, rather mean of Sky given you can't take a break in subscription

1 Year on, and I am afraid to say this is not the case. I was told the same thing with SKY 3 days a go, Received the new sim card and I have tried this and it does not work. I have an unlock dongle from EE (ZTE MF65) and can use it with a data sim from EE, ASDA, TMOBILE but not with SKY. 

According to the data I have researched SKY sim card are not meant to be used with anythign but a mobile phone or tablet. It does sometimes say you can use it with a router but not most router I have found have a sim slot except TP link M7350 routers. I have not tried this as at the moment not ready to splash out on another device to find it too does not work.. Stuck and like most feel I have been mis-lead/ mis-sold, a package that can't be used for the purpose it was intented.

I feel like I've been well shafted by Sky. I bought a to-link 4g router to use in my caravan as using my phone as a hotspot was sometimes iffy. The router says plug and play any sim but guess what not with a sky sim. Luckily Curry's gave me a refund so now I've got to try and get sky to cancel the sim contract I took out to use on it.
