Desperate 3G/4g not working

Husbands phone suddenly stopped working despite screen showing 3G/4G. My phone works fine. Been a week now where nobody can contact him with iMessage etc as it sends through normal messages and it's infuriating. To add to that, Saturday night we gave all info to man on sky call, tried all his games and jumped through hoops for him to say 'we'll call you in 24/48 hours as this isn't an easy fix'. 4 days later and no phone call. Husbands father is in palliative care dying and we cannot contact my husband unless he is on someone's WiFi which isn't possible and not acceptable. I am so upset I can't even explain, to make matters worse I'm the account holder so how do we fix this when they want to talk to me and it's not even a phone I have on me 😩 so done with it all

When you/he spoke to Sky did they not suggest sending out a replacement sim to activate and try, if not I would get back onto them to ask them to do this as the one you have might have developed a fault.
