Data roaming

I am travelling to Zimbabwe tonight and will switch off data roaming.  When I am there, if I am in Wi-Fi and I switch my data roaming on, will I still be charged?

Why would you turn on data roaming to use WiFi?  (Data roaming is cellular only)

I would recommend putting the device in flight mode - you can still connect to WiFi.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

That's extremely unwise in any country with 'rest of world' pricing: should your phone decide to use cellular data instead of (or in addition to) WiFi the bill run up in a few minutes would be very unpleasant if the default £45 cap isn't in place.

Cellular data using a Sky SIM in Zimbabwe is £4.32 per megabyte (twice as much as most RoW locations) or about ten grand for an hour of Netflix.
