@kerryjo1434 You may not be able to use your Sky sim for roaming unless you are close to land and can connect to a mast, if that is the case then depending where you are going it may cost as little as £2 per day(please be aware there is a 25GB per billing cycle cap for data use while abroad).

You can adjust your spend cap here https://www.sky.com/myaccount/mobile/sim/x/roaming there is a default limit of £45.

If the ship you are going gon is not going to be close enough to land to connect to a mast then you will be relent on their WiFi for data, that will be delivered by satellite and can be very expensive, a friend of mine has not long come back from a cruise around Spain and Portugal and on ship WiFi was £30 a day(they got 1 hour per day free) .

@kerryjo1434

As @daveNOS indicates, your Sky SIM will automatically trigger £2 per day roaming when within reach of a land-based mast located within an EU country, but these have distinctly limited range (perhaps 20 miles) and fundamental physics dictate that cellular communication cannot work out at sea.  Cruise companies know this, and  typically regard their on-board WiFi as a significant revenue generator.

The same £2 applies even if moving between countries on the same day, but be aware there are exceptions (Monaco and Albania, for example) where inadvertent connection to a land mast while offshore could be extremely expensive.

See here about cap: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-mobile-spend-caps

Be wary of increasing it...
