Data Roaming

I have had a text today from SKY telling me that my roaming is on and will stay on until 1158. Today. This has been fine while I have been on land in the Canaries but today I am in the middle of the ocean miles from land and have been in flight mode with data off since last night! It's only a £2 charge but it's not the point. Don't want to be charged for something I haven't used. If it switched to data it would have been maritime which is super expensive and thats what worries me if it makes errors. Phone is a flip 7.

If you've received a text then your device must be connected to a cellular service... Roaming is not just data.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
