Data Roaming - E sim

I am abroad and to avoid excessive data roaming charges I am using an E Sim with unlimited data. Why am I still being charged a daily Sky Data Roaming Charge??

@Framea8

You'll be charged if you aren't a Diamond VIP.

The nature of the SIM makes no difference, and neither does your home data allowance.

Edit: if you mean you have a dual SIM / eSIM setup where the eSIM isn't from Sky then roaming on the Sky SIM needs to be disabled in the phone settings to avoid being charged.

@Framea8

Unlimited data on a Sky sim only applies when you are in the UK, when abroad in a roaming country you are limited to 25GB  per billing period otherwise you will be charged for each GB you use,

I presume it's a Sky eSIM?   Or do you mean a 3rd party eSIM?

eSim's are just a format (no physical Sim) but the costs are the same.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
