Currently abroad

I'm so frustrated with not being able to contact sky.  I'm currently abroad and visiting several countries.  I forgot to tell sky and trying to contact them to let them know.  The phone number is either not available or it breaks up so far into the call.  My husband has a sky phone and can't use it but I can't get through to anyone to get them to sort it out please help

You don't need to tell Sky when you go abroad so as you are out of the UK I'm not sure there is much you can do as you will be at the mercy of whatever network you are connected to.

@Chery4

Is the spend cap set sufficiently high enough for the country you're currently in?

Re: Currently abroad

Yes but there's a couple of countries not mentioned but my husband hasn't had the Sky roaming text so he can't use it. If anyone can help I'd be grateful

Re: Currently abroad

We're in USA at the moment then Samoa, Fiji, Vanuatu, Australia.  Samoa and Vanuatu aren't mentioned in the list.

Re: Currently abroad

I keep getting a message saying someone has replied to this but when I log on nothing is there.  Just mentioning it in case someone has replied

Hi @Chery4  if he has tried to use his phone in a country not covered by the £2 daily charge then there is a good chance he has reached his spend cap as it takes only seconds/minutes to run up a bill of £100's. Check his spend cap and bills for any out of plan charges.

Re: Currently abroad

Thank you for coming back to me.  I don't think he has resched his spend cap as he couldn't connect anywhere and he takes roaming off.

@Chula

Please explain what you mean by "credit to my phone".

Activation of £2 per day roaming is automatic: there's no need for either you or Sky to do anything as long as you have a spending cap which can accommodate the total daily cost for the duration of your visit.

Also note there's a 25GB maximum data use limit, even if your home allowance is bigger than that (or 'unlimited')
