Costs to use your mobile in Saudi Arabia

It looks like the £2 passport doesn't cover Saudi Arabia.

can someone please advise call / WhatsApp / WhatsApp video call charges

On a wifi connection then  possibly nothing unless you are paying for the internet access.

On mobile data it will cost a small fortune making video calls:

£2,160 per GB (yes this is correct)

£2.16 per minute Calls to local or UK mobile and landline numbers

£1.80 per minute to receive calls

£0.50 per text message to UK numbers and mobiles

£0.58 per picture message(MMS)

I am in Saudi Arabia and had my data roaming switched off.

I didn't realise you had to turn mobile data off too so this remained on.

I logged into Spotify not thinking this might be chargeable and used it for about 40 minutes.

I am connected to my friends house Wi-Fi, will this Spotify usage be charged to my account or will it be ok because I was on my friends Wi-Fi?

There will be no charge if you connected to a Wifi network and used this to access spotify.
