Changing mobile number

Any ideas I'm wanting to change my mobile number I have with phone contract I've got but keep the sim and the packaging with the text calls and data I am paying for each month the same is there any way round this all help would be much appreciated. Thank you

If you have had your current number for more than 12 months just call Sky on the 150 number, request a new sim (which will come with a new but almost certainly recycled number) and get them to cancel your current sim.

 

Otherwise Sky are unlikely to change it unless you're receiving threats etc which have been reported to the police and you have a police reference number.

Do you know if I can pay to change the number at all I haven't yet been a customer for 12 months Yet but do need the number changing as soon as possible really I can't go into detail the reasons but I'm not wanting to change it just for the fun of it kind of thing.

Ok, that's the trouble there's no one that you can actually speak to properly over the phone about it's a nightmare and the live chat on the app is useless

Try contacting Sky by dialling 150 from your Sky mobile.

Expect them to say no but you've nothing to lose.

 

All calls will start automated (aka 'the bot') which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and sometimes saying nothing when asked the reason for the call helps being put in the queue for an agent.

My son is autistic and receives multiple spam calls daily 

so would need his number changed

Changing the number won't necessarily stop that.

 

However, the answers are already in this thread.  Ultimately, you'll have to contact Sky to see what they can do.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

@Claire397 Unfortunately that will probably happen with any number you get, they are all recycled.

As already mentioned though you need to call Sky, the community here cannot assist as we are mainly fellow customers.
