Can’t recieve SMS

I can't send or recieve SMS on my iPhone, can't set phone up correctly as can't verify anything on it. Any ideas how to fix this. I've tried it in 3 different phones so it's not a problem with the phone

I take it this iphone is new, is the sim a new one as well and have you just transferred a number to it from a different network ?

Yeah it's a new phone, I also had the issue last time I got a new iPhone and it took ages to sort, I've put my sim back in my old phone to try and receive verification texts and it won't allow me to send or recieve texts
