Re: Can’t receive any security code texts!?

An update......

Yesterday, I received a text message from sky telling me that they required more information..

In a recent telephone conversation with a Sky agent I was told not to respond to any messages from sky as there was a technical glitch and responding to a message,  would close my complaint.

All seems a bit odd, has anyone else had this.

Re: Can’t receive any security code texts!?

Yeah that's weird, my last interaction (just for everyone who has this issue and is reading this thread) was a bit of data gathering for fault analysis.

They got me to request 3 codes in quick succession and record the exact times and the companies and text them the details so they could identify the event logs.
Day 15 still no fix...

Ok so I have now also been asked for the same data as @ExplodinHead but only after I contacted then again this morning for an update to my complaint.

After the 48 hours given to further look into the problem since asking for the data from the trial verification code attempts I have recived a message to say "We are still managing your mobile fault".

So still no progess.

SNAP!
I've just spent the last hour going through the issue with Apple, my account and iPhone and there's no problems with those that they can see... 😤

Another update:

STILL NOTHING !!

Yesturday I received another text message saying the same as last week.

SJ011_0-1778749694652.png

This arrived at roughtly the same time as last week so I guess I am now stuck in a never ending loop where by each week I get an update but nothing actually gets sorted?

Just to update on my problem: I cannot receive verification codes on my Sky mobile number. These are the codes banks etc. send you to confirm your identity. Sometimes you can ask to be identifiable by a diferent method but in my case the only way is via my mobile number.

Rather amusingly, when I contact sky for an update, they ask me to identify myself by giving them the code that they've just sent me !!!!!!!!

Not being able to confirm my identity has mean I have not been able to access important information for 24 days now.

I am at a loss as to what to do?

Please can I have anyones opinion as to if they feel I've given sky enough time to resolve this issue and if it's fair and reasonable for me to now take further action?

So I take it from that post that you've made an official complaint?

If not, this link explains the methods of making a complaint.

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/how-to-make-a-complaint

Sky will then have up to 6 weeks to resolve it or you can then request a deadlock letter potentially allowing you to take it further.

@SJ011

If a post of your has disappeared then it is because it has been grabbed incorrectly by the spam filter used on here so when it is reviewed tomorrow by a moderator it should be restored.

@SJ011

I explained why the duplicate thread had been removed. You've been posting on this thread for this issue so no need for a new one,

Re: Can’t receive any security code texts!?

It was my discussion not yours so what gives you the right to delete it?

The polite thing to do would have been to message me and suggest I might want to remove it, then I could have given the reason why it's not a duplicate and should therefore stay.

This tread is about not being able to get short codes and the other tread you so rudely deleted was about timelines.

Now please put it back up or I will report you.

Re: Can’t receive any security code texts!?

Curious about your deletion of a "duplicate" approach.  It was a separate experience so for tracking and logging of faults surely it should stand, as it could have a different resolution path. That's also not aligned with compliance to ISO9001 for which all UK companies aspire as a pinnacle of sound business models. Not to mention the obvious effects on consumer relations that you've experienced first hand.
Worth a mention...?
