Can't login to my account while in Spain to raise the limit on my wife's mobile

Incredibly annoying. I put a limit on the SIM. Unfortunately the £2 a day passport charge for data roaming seems to be applied even though we are connected to hotel WiFi. Think I'm going to have to move the SIM to another provider. The provider l use for my own phone SIM does not make any charges for roaming in Spain

What is happeing when you try to loin to your accout as you haven't said what the issue is ?

The roaming passport cost will only be incurred if you phone does connect to local cellular service and transfers a small amount of data and/or makes/receives calls.  Check the settings on your phone if you do not want to connect to the local network.

 

If you don't connect then you can't be charged...

For some reason I never get to login to the hotel WiFi on my wife's phone

I never manage to get to the hotel login screen. I do get an option to use the network as is and when I say ok I immediately get a full connection indicator. On my own phone I get the room number login screen. Could this be the problem. For some reason on my wife's phone I never get the hotel login screen. Maybe a quirk with orange. Still very irritating and a problem I could do without.

Use flight mode - you should still be able to connect to WiFi.

Thanks I've turned mobile roaming off. The problem is the inability to bring the hotel login screen. Whilst l appears to be connected if I turn off roaming the connection drops. The hotel people think it may be down to the provider, sky mobile.

No problem I'll switch provider when I get back to UK.

Sorry for not responding. When I log in to my account it appears to be a success but if I try to access the management screens it just hangs. This only seems to happen outside the UK
