Any unused data is transferred to the Piggybank at the end of each billing period only.

You can't do it manually as there is no need to as it is done automatically for you on the date it resets which is your billing date.

As above. The only technical reason would be to move data from one SIM to another on the account - but if another account needs data and the piggybank is empty then a one-off purchase or increase to monthly plan are the only options.
I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
