Can I use my mobile data

My sky broadband is currently not working. I also have sky mobile but I don't have unlimited data. While waiting for my broadband to get fixed, I can se my mobile data as my home hub, but will I be able to use unlimited data or will I be charged to use over my monthly cap?

@hungledink If you have sky Max and pay for the addon feature off it, then extract as below.

 

Mobile data for outages

Have Sky Mobile? This one’s just for you. If not, join Sky Mobile to benefit from this too. 2GB of data will be added to your Sky Piggybank automatically if your broadband has an outage that:

  • Wasn’t planned
  • Lasts more than 30 minutes
  • Is between 7am and 11pm

Not got your data? It can take up to 24 hours to be added to your Sky Piggybank. We’ll text you to tell you it’s been added but check your Sky Piggybank.

You can get up to three data credits in a month or 24 credits in 24 months.

You don't get to use unlimited data as your usual package still applies, as per the post above you should see an extra 2GB added to your piggybank so you can roll back any data you have in it to use on your device if needs be.

I mainly use my broadband for streaming on my sky q box. 2gb isn't really going to help with that, especially at weekends

@hungledink That's what you get, have you stored anything from previous months in you data bank!

I do have rolled over data, but not sure how much I normally use each day. I wouldn't need anything lightning fast, just the data. 

 

Would be a great feature for them to make available for subscribers who have both mobile and broadband with them I suggest
