Can I order a new sim, cancel old but still keep number?
I am about to order a new phone. I have a sim now ( out of contract) but the data deals are better now. How to I cancel the old sim, order a better deal sim and still keep my old number?

You can't use a Pac code to move a number from one Sky sim to another Sky sim so you have a few options.
You could either use the sim you have or if you want to transfer the number you have to the new sim then you would need to use a Pac code to transfer your current sim number to a PAYG network and then use another pac code via them to transfer it back to your new Sky sim.

Thankyou. Seems awfully complicated! I don't want to keep the one I have because it's going to be more expensive for less data! I have to weigh that up with losing my number I suppose.

That is the key, this question comes up on here everyday and as you can see there is no easy answer. The only other thing you could try is to see if Sky will apply this new plan to your current sim, they might not do but it is worth a try ?
