Calls and text only when abroad

If I only want to make and receive calls and texts when abroad can I just turn off  mobile data to avoid charges

Hi @Colb1  calls and texts will still incur charges. It will either be £2 per 24 hours if roaming in the EU (plus a few other countries) or Restof the World charges if roaming elsewhere.

Making calls outside the EU and a handful of other countries where £2 roaming applies has an extremely high cost per minute, as does sending a text.

For reference, £2 per day roaming only applies to the EU/EEA plus the countries listed in bold below.
