Calling a landline from a cruise ship out at sea
I will be on a cruise soon and I will need to make a call to a landline while at sea. I will have the ship's premium internet package but I can't call the landline using Whatsapp. What other options do I have? Thank you.

From a Sky perspective, none. If the phone has no reception then your only option is the service that the cruise provide. (If they don't provide a cellular relay then you are out of options)

Thanks for your answer.
I don't understand it really. Red bull have an e-sim but it's data only so it won't work.
cunard say that "An advanced wireless network on board allows guests to make, as well as receive, calls on their personal mobile phones when the ship is at sea. Guests should confirm international roaming is enabled by their mobile service provider in order to connect with the maritime mobile network to make/receive calls and data to their cell phone or handheld device." Do sky do this and how do I find out how much it will cost? I did look at the tariff sheet but I didn't understand which charge it was.

Ok - it seems they provide 'Cellular at Sea'.
In the tariff I believe it's called 'Over the Sea' and is £3.60 per MINUTE to call UK or £1.80 per minute to receive a call.

Thank you, did you find that on the Sky website?
A call using the cabin phone is £7.50 per minute so Sky seems more viable- although still ridiculously expensive!
