So I ordered a phone before Christmas, and it was on backorder. I waited and then contacted Sky asking when they'd be back in stock. They told me they were having a hard time getting the stock. I then asked what they had in stock and what stock would be coming in first. They told me, so I switched to that phone. I then got an email saying the item would be delivered within 1 week. However, I have had no updates since then (2 Jan) and when I go onto the phone, it says 'Currently on backorder'. When I contacted them, I specifically said I did not want to order a phone that would takes weeks to come, and they ensured me that it wouldn't and I would get it within a week, but now seeing the same 'back order' and no updates, it feels like I am going back round in circles. I guess what I am asking is if I got an email saying I would receive it within 1 week. Does that mean I will, or does it change now that it says 'Backorder'? As I noticed, as soon as I ordered it, it went to 'currently on backorder.'

Backorder does mean they currently don't have the sock for your order. Usually when you place an order the website will have showed an estimated delivery time which might be more due to the Christmas and New Year holidays.

I actually ordered it through the phone, I asked the worker when would I receive it and they said within 1 week, this was last week. Yet I noticed it said currently backorder. I really don't know why they say this when they know they don't have stock.

I ordered my phone online. The phone I ordered actually said in stock and would be delivered within the week. I still don't have it nearly 3weeks later.
how do I get hold of sky about this? Asking why it says back order now but I wasn't emailed or anything to that affect?
