😂pre-order priority system seems a bit flawed. 

More annoying that I'm missing an office event because I thought it was coming. Hardly life or death, just a bit annoying.

I understand everyone's stress and frustration but saying skys customer service is terrible or it seems like the phones are being sent out at random is utter nonsense!

Sky do an unbelievable job, when I went online at 13:00hrs on the 12th there were 16,500 people ahead of me in the queue...so I logged off and left it until later that day.  As much as I want the "latest" phone, my iPhone 13 Pro Max still works and will continue to work until I receive my new order.  

The overwhelming excitement grips people so much, but put things into perspective people...the anxiety is ridiculous! It's a phone...I've been in situations where urgency really does matter life and death and it didn't involve a phone.

So, as disappointing as it may be, some of you will have to wait a little longer but everyone with a confirmed order will get one - it's not life changing but your phones will arrive.  In the meantime, chill and enjoy life!  A new phone won't change things that much 🫶

I got a confirmation of purchase email and a thanks for ordering and key information email so I had assumed it went through. Little annoyed that people ordering a day or 2 after me are getting the same thing I ordered first

In My Orders i have tracking details for DPD

Earlier said it was on way to local depot here in Belfast but now it says this

Completely get what you're saying, but from where I am the customer service hasn't been the best really... I'm sure many will agree. If it's not coming on the 19th, don't keep telling the customers it's definitely coming on the 19th, simple as that really. I wouldn't have been as bothered if I hadn't queried it already

I think my point being that there was 16,500 people in front of me in the queue at 1pm - even at 6:50pm I had to wait.  The demand was overwhelming.  Since the point you placed your order and by reading through the comments on here, can you imagine how many customer service staff have received calls along the lines of "I ordered a phone is it coming tomorrow"? Probably thousands.  If people were a little more patient, then maybe the customer service may be better as Sky resources would have more time to address the situation rather than having to reactively comment to impatient people enquiring prior to release...

The same thing has happened to me today, I now received an email to say that my order has been cancelled, for no apparent reason and no indication of when I'll,receive a refund for the upfront payment made, I really hope this is just a technical glitch as im quite **bleep** off at the moment! Sky need to get there act together this is ridiculous!

They also will be bombarded with calls when information is thin on the ground. 

Sky may have over promised a bit on this, but I'm sure within a week or two, everyone will have their orders and it'll be forgotten.

@NickNab1 I've just got the same update.

Sky are an absolute shambles. Never had issues like this in 22 years with Vodafone.

I wouldn't hold your breath. They do this every year over promise under deliver and the rope are left waiting over a month sometimes

Got two orders - a 17 Pro (Deep Blue, 256GB) I ordered at 1.13pm when pre-orders opened which gave me a delivery date of 'on' Friday 19th September (tomorrow). The tracking shows it's on the way to the DPD depot nearest to me - so that looks like it'll turn up on time tomorrow.

The other order I placed on Tuesday for a 17 Pro Max (Deep Blue, 256GB), that one showed delivery as 'from' Friday 26th September. Still showing as 'in progress' for that one.

Curious to know, what's the cutoff for next day delivery with Sky? Just looked at the 17 Pro and Air, and both showing delivery still available for tomorrow.

It's the same whether you ordered with Apple, 3, EE, whomever. 

The Iphone is a wanted phone. I get that for some it's a birthday present or a treat to themselves. I'm one of those people.  I have a meeting at work that's a scary one and I would love the phone to be delivered before then. 

But I will say one thing in Sky's defense, their customer service has been extremely polite and friendly, especially when I've called and texted the live chat as I couldn't fully hear the guy on the phone.

At the end of the day, it's just a matter of being patient 🙂

I was expecting the worst with pre-orders from Sky this year after a previous bad experience (and hearing of the experiences of others), but so far so good.

One thing Sky do need to change though is the ability to cancel pre-orders!

Placed an order on Tuesday just gone, showing delivery 'from' Friday 26th, so a long time away. Changed my mind a day later, called up to cancel it but was told "we can't cancel a pre-order until after the device has launched". So I have to wait until after tomorrow to call to cancel it. This means if you've ordered for launch day and change your mind, you can't cancel it - you either have to refuse delivery, or accept delivery and send it back.
