Allocate an extra sim and keep a number…

I would like to allocate an additional sim on my account to my partner, he would like to keep his mobile number, is this possible? 
Also if the cost of the additional sim eg: £6 and mine is currently £6 per month I'm guessing my bill each month will be £12.

I would be really grateful if someone can confirm this for me.

You can order an extra sim and your partner can get a pac code from their current network to give to Sky to transfer the number to this sim:

Buy the Sky sim

Activate it when it arrives but do not put it in your phone.

Get pac code from your current supplier

Give Pac code to Sky

When your current sim stops working insert your Sky sim in the phone.
