All my data has vanished
‎02 Apr 2025 01:45 PM
This is turning into a nightmare......
Has anyone else had all their data just vanish without reason?
My contract renews on the 1st of every month.
On 1st March I rolled over 11GB of data, I had my data turned off for the whole month and yesterday 1st April (NO JOKE) it's all gone.
I normally roll all my unused data on 1st of every month.
I keep my data off as I have a data sim in sim slot 2 of my phone so I dont ever use any Sky data.
Well the lost data is so called being fixed and should be storted out in 24hrs by the second line team, they agree I have not used any data and my 11GB has vanished, which they can't explain but say it must be a system glitch.
Here is the thing, they gave me 2GB free of charge until the problem is fixed, he said it's normally £12 but I will not be charged.
But... I just got an email saying I will be charged £12 (2x£6)
I checked my May future bill and it's right there £12 extra being charged.
But.... every time I call and get pushed from department to department, instead of solving the issue all I get is the hard sale for an upgrade, I have been offered a new sim (and number) with 24month contract at £5 for 10GB a month.
Now its a Samsug Galaxy tablet..... just £5 with my own number.
I've lost track of the offers now there have been so many.
OMG.... it's so confusing, they don't make it clear and all of a sudden when you query it, its not £5 at all but £5 extra
Now I'm being told that even though my bill says I have been charged for those 2GB of data it will be free and I need to trust them.
And... my 11GB of lost data will be sorted out by the second line within 24hrs.
Honestly, it's all been a nightmare, constant hard sales instead of trying to fix the problem.
And hard sales that are so confusing you can't even understand what you are being offered, no wonder the elderly get caught out with these things.
