This is going to be a long shot but want to see if anything else has had this issue..

when I moved over from EE I kept my original number but sky gave me another one to use for the time being (not sure why) well tonight me and my partner realised someone else has now got that number and has been messaging on it but sky didn't warn me or give any indication they were going to do this.

so for a piece of mind just want to know if they are able to see any previous messages or anything like that. 

did they contacting sky but we all know they are useless!

@Zoe2511 Pretty much every mobile number is now recycled back in to the usable pool once it's cancelled, whoever gets that number will not have access to any messages,call logs or data from previous users of that number.

Hi @Zoe2511 as there are a limited amount of mobile phone numbers those that are not required go back into the "pot" and are reused. I doubt they can see any history associated with the number from when you had it. I have seen others on here that have been given a number and still receive messages from people trying to contact the previous owner of the number and they have never reported having access to old messages.
