After making a deposit of 270 for a iPad pro / iPhone 16 Promax I still got billed twice this month

Double Billing Issue with Sky – Need Advice

 

Hi everyone,

I need some advice regarding a billing issue with Sky. On the 8th of February, I made a £270 deposit for an iPad Pro and an iPhone 16 Pro and signed a mobile contract with them. However, I’ve now been billed twice—once on the 21st and again on the 24th of February.

To make things more confusing, my app shows that the payments have been made, but I still see a message saying "total credit carried from previous bill" has doubled, and it still shows that I owe them money.

Has anyone experienced this before? What steps should I take to get this sorted? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

By this do you mean you were asked to make an upfront payment or did you make a manual payment towards a bill ?

If it says the credit has been carried forward then this is money that is owed to you so this would suggest that the manual payment you made is being added as a credit.

Yes I made a manual payment of 69. 37 and it marked as paid when I did the payment first

I made one manual payment first, then I started noticing a direct debit on my account again and I noticed another bill again

So as you might have noticed as you have a direct debit setup you do not need to make manual payments because if you do and you get your timings wrong then the bill will still be taken and the manual payment will go on as a credit which will be used to pay your future bills.

 

You can also have the credit refunded if you want and we can arrange some help for you via here if you want from Sky's messaging team who will then send you a private message sometime tomorrow about this so let us know if you are happy to go ahead with this if you want this refunded.
