Activated wrong sim

I've had enough problem after problem with SIM cards I upgraded to unlimited data and got a new sim what they didn't tell me is that I had to have a new number so when I activated it I just put activated it as a replacement sim which obviously didn't work 

after yet another extremely long call with sky being passed around depts and having to go through yet another credit check they sent me a new SIM card  promised to cancel the iother iñe ccwith a new number went to activate it it didn't bask me which sim just activated it and it activated under wrong name tried to activate it under right name but now get an error message sky chat is as useful as a chocolate monkey Im fed up with this uograde and sky all I want is my new iPhone 17 pro max working on right SIM card with unlimited data

The terms of SIM offers are clear that they are for new/additional SIM's only (With a new number).

 

Plans available for a given SIM can be found on your account by changing the dataplan - but they won't be the same price as the additional SIM offers.

 

If you choose to activate as a replacement then that SIM can only replace a current SIM/dataplan on your account.

 

There is a protracted workaround that requires your number is ported out of the network and back in again - you cannot use a PAC code within a network.  (Unless Sky agree to apply a deal to your current SIM)

 

I'm not sure what you mean by 'activated it under the wrong name'.

 

Anyway, there's probably not a lot we can do here (other customers).

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
