A new Sky menu icon has appeared on my phone and my wife's. This is in addition to My Sky and Sky Go. Is it okay and what is it for?

Yes, have it on my mobile as well. I believe it's for turning roaming on and off. The "1" relates to the first SIM in a multi-SIM phone.

I had a problem where calls and sms were all offline. Saying "No connection to network". It turned out that the Sky Menu app was set to roaming abroad. Once reset to auto, everything was back to normal.
I will add that this wasn't picked up by the staff in the local Sky shop, who ordered a replacement SIM card.

Thank you so much for solving the same issue for me, despite taking to sky experts for over an hour this morning who couldn't help

Thx @Router03 you have helped me resolve my issue with no connection to network following a holiday abroad after using an esim. Spoke to sky with no joy apart from sending a new sim. Have sent a message via their how do you rate sky following my call. But if sky monitor this hopefully they will add it to their training of staff as this would have solved alot of head scratching for 2 days!!! 👍
