Moving home on the 3rd October, we currently have Sky Q and have arranged for Sky Q to be provided at our new address. We will be taking our Sky Q box and mini box with us. The install date for that is the 8th October. Whilst we wait for the install can I connect my Macbook Pro to the TV with HDMI and use Sky Go to route programmes to my tv?
There is a dish already on the new property but I don't think it has the correct LNB fitted.
Any advice welcomed.

Find out moreYou can use Sky Go on your MacBook Pro and I think it should work connected to your TV as while Sky blocks phones and tablets from doing this thete is no such blocks with PCs and laptops so I would guess the same would apply to your MacBook so feel free to let us know how you get on !

Thanks for the quick reply. So am I correct in thinking that Sky Go does not need to link to an active Sky Q box? That will not be possible initially between the 3rd and 8th October.

Find out moreSky Go only needs to link to a Sky Q box if you want to watch back your recordings or watch channels like those from the BBC that can only be viewed when the app is connected to a box and for this you do need a multiscreen subscription on your account.
