Uninstalling Sky Sports silently?

Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere, i've had a look in a lot of places and can't find an answer!

I work for an IT department and have need to remove the Sky Sports desktop app from multiple machines in the business. No corporate machines should have this application. Unfortunately, unlike the Sky Go app, which has an "uninst0000.exe" /verysilent switch, I can't find any documentation or discussion on how to use "uninstall sky sports.exe" (under %localappdata%\programs\skysports) silently?

/q, /s, /quiet, /silent, /verysilent etc (all the common switches) don't appear to work. They all make something appear on the screen for the user to confirm removal of the application. That isn't an acceptable solution for my needs - I need to do this without the end user providing consent.

Anyone have any ideas what the command line input is to uninstall this software please? My only alternative is to manually uninstall the client, application, registry, files etc - and I don't want to have to do that.

Unfortunately I very much doubt that's something anyone in Sky anticipated the need for.  If it was software written to any acceptable standard it wouldn't be putting executables into a local profile folder in the first place and your users (who presumably don't have sufficient rights to access Program Files) would have been blocked from installing it.

In theory (and rarely for Sky) there's apparently an email address of  apps@sky.uk

Re: Uninstalling Sky Sports silently?

@TimmyBGood, appreciate the responses, as it's a wierd request!

As you surmise, the user can't install to program files, but many applications of this type (and browsers) switch default install location to appdata if they don't pass a UAC prompt. However, this is the first app i've seen in some time (and in my job, i've seen a LOT) that doesn't apparently have a documented silent uninstall command - even the skyGo app has one! I think it likely that the installer does have such a command, but it's not documented, and would need someone at Sky to ask internally what it is.

I'll give the email address a go, thankyou. I did try to call sky direct originally, but naturally they're really into telling you to go to the forums rather than answer the call. I wasn't expecting someone to have the answer - but you never know until you try!
