Trying to use Sky go on kindle fire and can't update my sky go app. Have tried to delete and reinstall with no luck, any ideas on how to fix?

@caesarome popped a photo below, tap to upgrade and takes me back to open sky go page. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still the same.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreWhat software is your Kindle fire running as it might be that the latest version can no longer be installed on it as it requires a new version so have you checked to see if there is a new version of the software the device is running ?

@caesarome ses to be the updated version, OS 4.5.5.3 no other recent updates found.

@caesarome really good point, have tried updated by guessing as this one is a 3rd generation Kindle there's only so far you can go with updates?

That is correct, in time apps like Sky Go will no longer work on older devices. I have an old iPad where it doesn't work on anymore for example.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreA third generation Fire is nearly a decade old (launched October 2014), and so has done really well to last this long. Android devices of that vintage also no longer work with the current release of Sky Go.

Im getting the same issue but my message is that Android 7 or above is needed to run sky go so should update my operating system. Did this and still don't work

Android 7 is a 2016 release. Any device of that kind of vintage isn't going to be able to run the current Go version.
