Too cold to work

I have had sky for 20+ years ans a vip member.

i have noticed that differing channels are not playing. The screen goes blue and it says .the channel is currently affected by a problem with your satellite signal. This can be bbc1; itv, sky witness as we as others.

Now this is only happening when there is a freeze. In all the years I have had sky this has never happened. I have done all the checks and have even been supplied a knew sky a box. When the temperature outside rises there is no problems.

Surely with all modern technology I should be able to watch to and record when it is cold outside.

Do I need to arrange a engineer from sky to come out?

@SA52  Your post has been moved from the Sky Go board as this doesn't sound like a Sky Go App related issue

It sounds like you have SKy Q ?

@SA52

Depending on the weather conditions where you are your satellite signal is likely to be affected if snow lands on the dish, in particular the LNB but should return to normal as soon as the conditions improve. Don't necessarily try to brush it off as accidentally moving the LNB will then necessitate an engineer visit to realign it. If you're a Sky+ customer that would be at your own expense.

Sounds indicative of a failing LNB or possibly cable damage. So, Yes, an engineer will be required.
