After restarting the app multiple times it can eradicate the issues for most normal channels, but since Sky F1 have added the 'Workday' audio advert when you select play, this channel remains out of sync by that advert time length. To add this is bad enough, but to not ensure the channel works after is very poor

Same here. Sky, you should credit "workday" back for their commercials as you make all people watching Sky F1 with Sky Go hate it.
THis is going to spoil my Grand Prix tomorrow and Qualifying today.
What are we paying for, Sky?

I've got the same problem too. I'm watching Sky F1 on the Sky Go app on my Mac while waiting for Sky TV to be installed next week. I thought it was a general lag problem but can see now it's because of the work day ad.
Come on Sky - remove the ad when opening the app or delay the F1 audio so it starts at the same time as the video. It's Miami F1 weekend so please get it sorted

Try watching Sky Sports Main Event
Try disconnecting the app from the Sky Q box if it is connected.

Workday ad has ruined the Miami GP for me. skygo F1 channel is unwatchable. I hope for their sake I never need to consider buying their platform - because I won't. Sky ineptitude yet again. I .forever left speechless about how in user friendly their offerings are. Shame on you Sky.

I posted here yesterday with the problem but then closed and restarted the app a few times. It restarted without the ad and was fine. Same has happened today - currently in sync as worday ad didn't run on opening after a couple of tries. Sharing this in case it helps others - close or force close app and start again a few times. And try doing it when there is a commercial break happening

Fix was late and I have had two Grand Prix rendered unwatchable by extra advertising.
Price goes up. Adverts go up!
Refund of 1 month subscription costs please.

I reported this two months ago to Customer Service, in a phone call lasting 30 minutes.
I provided CS with a link to the other thread, to help the technical team quickly see the large quantity of users whose F1 experience was being ruined by this audio sync. fiasco (easily solved by removing the Workday ad for live events on 406 until the problem is fixed at root). The time it has taken for this to be officially acknowledged - and we hope solved - is unacceptably long, for Desktop users of an App (SkyGo) which was forced on large-screen PC users in the first place.
If the technical team can't get SkyGo to work properly, please ask them to return to a browser-based solution. This audio sync problem has been a disaster which has alienated a lot of users - some terminally - through Sky's complete disregard for the problem.

Couldn't agree more wrt Sky's apparent total disregard for this picture/sound not in synch problem and other "ancient" Sky Go problems such as the totally frustrating buffering problem when connected to a Sky Q Box! Given what Sky charges us for TV / Broadband / Land Line, I've often though of ending my subscription - but is the competition any better!? They have us by the short and curlies sadly! 😒

dound sometimes connects but most times doesn't
