My sky go app used to work absoultely fine but all of a sudden it no longer opens, it comes up with a downloading update message before an installing update message apprears. This will repeat over and over again and the app will not work. I am using a macbook air and have tried deleting the app but it is not letting me and I am unsure what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt might be worth trying this to completely remove the app and files and folders it uses:
Uninstall the app
Launch the Finder, go to the Downloads folder and delete ‘SkyGoInstaller.’
In Finder, go to the Applications folder and delete Sky Go app
Remove Sky Go files
In the Finder select Go to folder ... from the Go menu (or press c).
A dialog box should appear. Now copy and paste the following text into the box and press the return key: ~/Library/Application Support/
Select the Sky Go folder and delete it
Empty Recycling Bin
Reboot the Mac
Download and reinstall Sky Go

I tried all these steps (Macbook Air, 2023, M2, Sequoia), and I am opening with Rosetta which was also suggested. The Sky Go app just hangs saying "Downloading Update".
This is when I downloaded from Sky's own site - so can't see why an update would be needed anyway.
Any other ideas? Sky really is a bit of a joke....
