Sky go

Being a sky customer currently on HD not Q, which I know is not relevant here. But we have access to to sky go. Which is great. But I can't use that on a fire stick.

if I moved to NOW TV which is also run by sky, I can have a firestick app and watch it on my non connected tv.

why can we not watch sky via firesticks but we can watch now TV.

@pcbobuk  Sky Go has only ever been available on Apple, Android & Windows devices only.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: Sky go

I know that. What I'm asking is why can we not have firstick version of go. Sky, who own and operate NOW TV have a firestick app. So it's already available. Why can we not have that.

that was my question , no looking for confirmation of what's already available

@pcbobuk

The current iteration of NowTV is a 2025 Comcast software product and entirely unrelated to the rather elderly Go app (which is essentially still the Sky Q app of 2018 and pre-dates the purchase of Sky Group by the Comcast Corporation)

If/when Comcast-Sky get around to replacing Go, it's their choice whether to implement Firestick functionality: it may not be entirely unrelated that the vast majority of Sky channel piracy takes place on Amazon hardware.
