Sky go thinks im outside of the UK

As title says.

Rebooted ipad, uninstall, rebooted, logged in and out, re installed. Still no luck. Just keeps telling me I can't watch stuff because I'm outside of the UK, I'm not.

No VPN installed or in use anywhere in the house or on this network.

Sky Go's IP Address lookup table must be out of date, you could try turning your router off for a while to get a new IP Address

Re: Sky go thinks im outside of the UK

I have tried this. Along with a planner rebuild. The same issue persists on the sky box also.

Re: Sky go thinks im outside of the UK

Did you get a resolution to this?
I'm having the same problem, ip location.net confirms I'm in the UK and my ISP has confirmed the IP address is correctly registered in the UK and given us a detailed explanation stating it's the streaming provider that's using an out of date geolocation database but we're getting no help from SKY.

I have exactly the same issue, recently installed Sly Stream, my broadband in BT, and it thinks I'm outside the UK...paying a lot of money not to be able to watch what I'm paying for.  Did you get a resolution?

Try rebooting your router by unplugging it, that should allocate you a new IP, which will hopefully be a UK based one.

You may have to leave the router unpowered for at least half an hour: most ISPs use a 3600 second (60 minute) TTL

Hi @Jay134

To clarify, are you a Sky Stream customer who is having issues viewing Sky Stream.

Or are you a Sky Stream customer trying to use Sky Go but you are getting an error?

Thanks,

Daniel
