Re: Sky go on PC
Hi I don't know what the issue is but I'm using a fairly meaty gaming PC and still have the issue. i7, 16gb and 8gb 3060 gfx.
Yet no issues playing Sky Go on a tablet or phone.... and no issues playing Netflix, Prime or any other streaming platform on the PC.

Re: Sky go on PC
Yep
This is not great. Mulitiple people with multiple configs all report the same issue. If I sit in my garden with my laptop I can watch sky go, but if I sit in my garden shed with a (more powerful) mini pc I cant !
...and sky dont understand their program well enough to help me make it work.
unlikely
Is it a distinct possibility that the program is crippled in order to extract multi- room revenues ?

Re: Sky go on PC
For anyone interested in the same subject. This was the response I got from Sky.
- First, a super-quick version check:
Go to Start > Control Panel > System and Security. Under System, choose View amount of RAM and processor speed and check they meet (or are better than) the minimum requirements:
- Operating system: Windows 10 and above.
- Processor: Intel Core i3-8130U – or equivalent AMD.
- RAM: 4GB DDR3.
- Video Card: DirectX 11 compatible video card driver.
im fairly sure my config was superior to this but still did not work.
Ongoing ....

Re: Sky go on PC
Yes the solution (work around really) seems to be to enable Hyper V out install virtual box (you don't have to use it, just install it)
Bizarre

Re: Sky go on PC
Yep.
I fell this is a result of the new security features and enabling Hyper V opens pathways in the security config that Microsoft closed in 24H2.
As a workaround I think its working around Microsoft - not the Sky Go app
Anyhow

Re: Sky go on PC
Solutions / Work arounds until microsoft / Windows sort it out.
- Enable Hyper V on Windows Pro
- Install but no need to use Virtual Box on Windows Home achieves the same result
- Run scripts (find via Google) to enable Hyper V on Windows Home
- And enabling virtual machine and hypervisor on windows Home Insider Preview (havern't tried on normal Windows Home)
