Sky go not working on mac Mini
Sky Go will not work on my Mac mini. I am running OS sequoia 15.1. I've researched Community questions and answers which seem to suggest this is a known problem. I have tried all the fixes suggested including uninstalling and completly deleting from the trash and reloading the app but it still does not work. App opens, bounces as if opening then disappears. Can I have some support please.

Sky Go does not work on my Mini Mac running Mac OS Sequoia. It won't open, won't connect - does not work. I have contacted Sky 'technical' by phone but they could not help. I don't think the Sky Go App is compatible with OS Sequoia? Has anyone hot it to work? Sky must respond and produce an update. RSVP Sky!!

Sky Go App will STILL NOT CONNECT for me running Sequoia 15.2. It won't even open - nothing- zilch!
I have only just changed to a newer Mini Mac because Sky warned that my previous Mac Computer ran a now obselete operating system that could not be updated and would no longer supported by Sky Go. So, I have the most up to date Mac OS and Sky Go does not work at all. I am very unhappy. I have had no response from Sky. I called 'Technical Help' and they had no idea how to assist. I want to join a private discussion!
It seems from the vast arry of posts across many discussions that there are major issues for Mac OS Sequoia users and the Sky Go App. Please Sky, communicate with your customers and solve the Sky Go App and Mac OS Sequoia user issues...

MY UPDATE! By trawling through every 'Sky Go not working on Apple Mac' related discussion I have eventually found a series of steps that have worked. I tried to attach unsuccessfully to attch a screenshot of the information. This information was not posted by DAGW92 on 15th Sept 2024 02:24PM so surely Sky Go technical people should be aware of it?? Like many others, I have spent hours trying to find a solution and there seems to be one. I hope it continues to work and that Sky Go techical people update all Mac users so that the can also use Sky Go.
1. From your desktop select Go from the top toolbar
2. Press and keep holding the Option key on your keyboard - This is very important as it allows you to see the folders on your Mac;s hard drive
3 Slect Library
4 Open the folder named Application Support
5 Look for the Sky Go folder
6 Highlight everything in that folder and drag it to your Trash. Leave the enclosing Sky Go folder where it is though. For info and identification the first folder to highlight is called 'blob_storage' and the last is called 'WebStorage'
7 There is apparently no need to empty the Trash just re-start your Mac I had to sign in but then everything workedas it should [for now!!]
I hope this works for other people. Please Sky Go update your own Technical Department and or App so that all Mac users can use Sky Go without wasted hours and frustration...

I just set up my new Apple Studio Extra - migrated from my iMac. Using Sequoia 15.2. Over 100 apps migrated with no problems, and two more needed passwords inputting (but not changing). Sky Go was the only app that wouldn't start. I uninstalled it and reinstalled from the Sky website. It completed instalation, them moved on to checking updates, then got the "couldn't conect" message - reminded me of when threy had the "forever checking for updates"isuue they had.
Tried all the usual, and tried their help page (the link for which unhelpfully takes you to the Sky.com homepage. There's a chatbot help option (once you've dug down into the seeds) - don't waste your time - it asks for what you need (Technical Support), and asks what the problem is (me-Sky Go app not connecting). It asks me what the problem is (me-Sky go not connecting), with response "that doesn't match with any of the expected responses), and back to what do you need.
I've tried everything including the removal of the Mac from my account whuch someone had quoted as a response from Sky support. I'd assumed I could, then go back in to my accounr and add the device back, but turns out you can only do that when you're viewing something on the Sky Go, which I obviously can't do.
I have no idea how Sky can make such a mess of something that should be straightforward.
Would love to know if anyone has a solution, and if not at least something from Sky to explain what the problem is and when it'll be fixed.

I went through very similar experienes. Especially and bizarrely when 'Sky Go app does not work' is not one of the options! What did a technical problem bot expect??
Please try the steps I suggested in my last post. It is several days since I tried those steps and successfully get the Sky Go app working ... and keep working so far🤞🤞🤞.

I'd already tried your approach, and several others, but with no luck. It worked fine with my iMac on 15.1, but not sure I used the app on the iMac with 15.2. So I only really knew of the problem when I moved to the Apple Studio, which was already on 15.2
The problem is definitely about connection to my Sky account - as far as I can tell the app itself installs correctly after download and they checks for updates - then after a while the error 100 message pops up.
The problem is the lack of any obvious way of linking a device to the account. I deleted my iMac in my account in the hope that I'd get some form of dialogue to register the new Mac Studio - maybe a request to enter my email/Sky membership number, but thre appears to be nothing.
But on the plus side I apparently have been awarded a badge for my post for helping out forum members - Yippeeee!!!

I have several badges too. I sympathise and wish I could help more. I cannot understand why Sky are not capable of understanding that there is a widespread problem for Mac OS Sequoia users. I am not a computer expert in any way - just someone who wants things to work as described/advertised. I do think that the problem lies in the Sky Go app being Intel chip based whereas Mac OS Sequoia is Apple's own chip based.. Sky will know this and should create an installation process that overcomes incompitibilties ...

I am having the same issue. Able to download the installer, when it runs, it says "installing Sky Go" and then nothing. It never shows up in the launcher or on the desktop.
I'm running Sequoia 15.5 (24F74)
Please help as this is very frustrating for a sky customer of over 15 years
