Sky Go on my iPad thinks I am in Europe but I returned home on Saturday. When I click on a show it says Sorry there is a problem you cannot access this content in this country. I spent nearly 2 hours on the phone yesterday with four operatives and re-installed the App several times (again today), and turned off and on the iPad many times, downloaded GPS app which shows my correct location and turned off VPS. I can see this problem repeatedly on the Sky forum but no resolution. As I sometimes rely on my IPad to watch Sky content I need a refund or a resolution quickly as this is unacceptable. Just because I went abroad I can’t use Sky Go. I am using Sky Broadband and my iPad has my correct location. The problem is Sky Go. Can you please help me fix this issue?

I'm using an iPad not a mobile phone.

Yes, connected to Sky Broadband at home. I took it out to connect to another wi-fi (in a pub) - the result is the same. Location on my iPad says UK, yet when i looked on YouTube there were adverts in side boxes in German!

So that would indicate your iPad thinks it's in Germany, which would certainly explain why the Sky Go app doesn't work. You may need to raise that with Apple or the Apple support forums to try and figure out why. I would expect if you have location services on and have connected back to UK WiFi networks the location should have switched back to the UK.

The location says UK.
I had a long (hour or more) consultation by chat yesterday with a very helpful Apple person. We exhausted their fixes and I will get a call tomorrow from an 'technician' who might be able to help.
Because this happens with BBC iPlayer (Sorry - you can only view this content in the UK), and on YouTube there are ads in German, the iPad I guess still thinks it's in Austria. It must have changed automatically, but won't change back to UK!
Very frustrating! But it's happened before - it's on the Sky forum, but no resolution I can see.

I did! I would expect that too but it didn't happen!

Eventually I discovered the fix myself! When I was on holiday in Vienna, I tried to watch Sky Go, but it's not available in this country. A post advised downloading a VPN so I could watch Sky in Europe. I did - Nord VPN. It didn't work so I cancelled it. When I opened the icon on my iPad (thinking I had cancelled so it would not be operational), I saw it said I am in Vienna! I clicked some things and an option came to "Trust Sky ...", my broadband address. I clicked on this and the location changed to London! Hooray! Check your VPN if your location is wrong!
